A hardware true random number generator with a post-quantum secure USB connection.

AlphaRNG PQ secures its USB connection with ML-KEM-1024 (FIPS 203) post-quantum key exchange and AES-256-GCM, so the random data stays protected even against attackers who record traffic today and decrypt it with future quantum computers.

AlphaRNG PQ uses the same proven entropy hardware as the AlphaRNG: two independent avalanche-noise sources, an embedded health check test validated by hardware fault insertion, and on-device NIST SP 800-90B Repetition Count and Adaptive Proportion tests.

Key features

  • ML-KEM-1024 (FIPS 203) post-quantum key exchange for every session
  • AES-256-GCM encrypted and authenticated USB channel, with optional HMAC
  • Up to 199 Mbps in non-secure mode
  • Unique ML-KEM-1024 public key file shipped with each device
  • USB 2.0 high-speed, bus powered, 22 grams
  • Linux, FreeBSD, macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon), Windows 10/11 and Windows Server
  • Certified for FCC (Class B), ISED (Class B) and CE; RoHS compliant
